Whenever I find something great, I’m like Oprah (I don’t have her money, but that’s another story) I like to share it with others. That being said, I HAVE FOUND SOMETHING GREAT!!!!

     The SENIORS TECH CLUB! It is a great way for men and women of a particular age (seniors) to learn how to navigate through this computer age in which we find ourselves. There is no reason that anyone should be left behind in this technological world that we live in. Have you been intimidated by the internet, computers, and smartphones, well, I have the answer --- SENIORS TECH CLUB!

     Since I have signed up with them, I am learning more than I ever thought possible. I had a little computer knowledge, but now since joining and being taught by Mr. Phillip Newell, I am well on my way to becoming a “computer whiz!” Mr. Phillip is amazing! His expertise is second to none. He explains things in a very uncomplicated manner and is very accommodating to your time, your specific needs, and most importantly for me --- HE ACCOMMODATES MY POCKETBOOK!!!!

     Don’t stay STUCK in the past, do something liberating for yourself, and learn how to surf the net, be able to communicate with friends and family, and video chat with the grandkids. The SENIORS TECH CLUB can teach you this and a whole lot more! So glad I signed up, thank you SENIORS TECH CLUB, and thank you, Mr. Phillip Newell!

We started taking classes from Phil this past September.  He worked with all of us with understanding and patience.  Patience was the operative word.   From day one we were given respect and it continued throughout all our classes.   Because of this, he was given the respect that he was due.  Phil is a wonderful teacher.  Our classes were twice a week for 1 hour each.  But our classes always ran over at least 20 minutes or more.  He never complained or said he had to leave at a specific time.  We learned everything from the workings of Windows 10 to browsers to websites to Google to finally Social Media.  (Pinterest, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Messenger, etc.).  We also learned how to use split screen and various other applications.  

It's hard to work with a bunch of Seniors, especially when the majority of them were Women, we only had 1 Man in our class, but he seemed to understand us all.  My personal feeling on this is that his parents raised and taught him well.  

Also, he told us all that we could call, text, e-mail, etc. at any time if we had any questions or concerns and he would be happy to help us, which he did for me several times.

Thank You for an enjoyable 3 months.

I would advise any Senior who is interested in learning or enhancing their computer skills to join the Seniors Tech Club. I had a wonderful experience during my three months of training. Our instructor was outstanding, he was extremely patient and supportive. As a result of my training, I am currently on Facebook and Twitter and enjoy it!!!!
